Does anyone know why a starfish looses a leg? And I found my red shrimp dead & face down in a sea urchin. Help!
(My aquarium is 27 gallons and I have a cleaner shrimp, two hatian anenomies, a blue tang, a sally light foot, a neon pink slug, many hermit crabs, & mexican snails.)
ALSO!
Alot of my fish were dying so I got a UV sterilizer. Anyone know if that should help?

I can't believe I'm going to say this but, test the water for ammonia, check salinity, and do a partial water change if the testing results indicate. The brittle stars frequently lose legs, they're so delicate, as to the reason........hmmmm,anyone else???

how did you acclimate the star most of the time this indecates osmotic shock from salinity shock. also the phrase
I did water ckeck and all was fine
doesnt work to help you out specific numbers really help in determining if its is actually alright or not someone might see something you dont.
