starfish ??

i found this star ,i was told it is a atlantic starfish but are they reef safe ,i have him in my sump for safe keeping shoud i leave him there

doesnt look reef safe to me but i would wait to here from a star expert

i dont think its reef safe, im unsure of this one as i have never seen it, but you could always put him in yur tank and see if he gets on one of your corals

Quite possibly Asterias forbesii (do a google search) and if so highly predatory. The orange dot (the madreporite) is pretty diagnostic. See if it takes some meaty food.
