I would not reccommend FW dip as they are very sressful to the fish and is not effective a lot of times, also the ich is already in the tank so treating one fish would not work. If you have a hosptal tank I would put them in there and treat them.

slothy,
Foruntately these are very cheap fish - wherever you got them from - don't buy from them again - they have ick.
If you have no other fish in your tank I'd say go ahead and remove all four and wait 90 days before adding fish again.
While you are waiting to add fish try hermits/snails/crabs and maybe some featherdusters, an urchin or two and maybe even a star fish.
I would get myself two cleaner shrimp (all of the above can live together in a tank) so when you do put fish into the tank you have a natural ick fighting team.
This will keep you busy and help the tank get established while you wait for the ick to completely die off. GEt a small hospital tank and from now on quarantine your fish for 30 days before adding them to your tank.

Hey, ocellaris_keeper. Shouldn't he wait until the tank finishes the cycle before adding all those inverts, since they are so sensitive to water quality. HTH.

Thats great advice - dont be impatient like I was. Take him up on it. Dont add any more fish EVEN IF YOU DONT CARE if thoses particular fish get it or not. This is because as long as there's a host in the tank for the ick, it will live on. Let your tank purge itself and enjoy inverts. Take time to plan your fish choices, watch and learn as your tank matures. I know 90 days seems like an eternity, but once your Real fish are in there you'll want everything perfect.
Besides, I enjoy my shrimp/crabs/dusters/stars/snails/etc more than I enjoy my fish. Not only will the ick die off in this time, but the water will become much more stable. The water temp wont be so high after the hot summer anyway (at least here in the northeast where its been 95 for 2 weeks!)
Good Luck

I too enjoy the inverts as much as fish. I have had most of the inverts in my tank since I put in the LR and they all do great so far. I love watching them scurrying around. It's a shame the chocolate chip will be leaving as soon as I start with corals but the brittle is very cool. The only inverts I had that died were two camel shrimp which for some reason I can never keep alive in any tanks I've had. Anyone else find camels tough?

Iechy,
I have had no problems with my camelback shrimp - both of them have molted in the last two months. My tank has been set up for over three months. For whatever reason - I'm doing something right.

yea i flushed the one fish with the realy bad ick down the toliet... the rest seem okay... well tomorrow im going to buy about 200bucks worth of live rock... should i pull the rest of the fish ? and let the live rock cycle the tank ? or watch the left over fish and see what happens.... this tank will be a fish only tank...

Like Carrie said, if one has ich then it's already in the whole tank. Q/t the remaining fish and treat them while the lr cycles by itself unless you want more to follow the first fish.. IMHO it'd be too much for even the damsels to take ('cept 4 maybe sgt_york's! )
