Hello,
I think my tank will be finished cycling in the next week or week and half. When this processed is completed, do you think a yellow tang and a snowflake eel are good starter fish? Thanks in advance.

i dont see why a tang and a snowflake eel would be hard starter fish i started with an SFE and there really simple fish! i think that a yellow tang is much simpler than a trigger and much less aggressive.. if you get a trigger first itll seriously limit what you can get later IMO... i think a yellow tang and a snowflake eel are ok for first fish and i say go for it!

I firmly believe that a freshly cycled tank is still an experiment. My advise would be to start with a hardy, fun fish (easy on the pocket and fun). Clowns are both, and in that size aquarium you have plenty of room to add your tang and your eel down the road.
You will have a tankfull of beautiful, healthy fish if you have the patience to wait and allow the tank to become a beneficial environment to them.
I was in my favorite LFS tonite and watched the YT in his main display picking at the great algae growth on the back of the tank and thought how nice for that fish.
A bare, clean tank is not a place for a fish like that.

but they also sell sheets of that algae for fish like tangs! even if the tank has time to establish that algae wont always be there for the tang it and all the other fish will eat it all in no time that's why we have to resort to special foods from the fish store! im not arguing just stating my opinion!
