Starting A Nano

I am looking to start a NANO. Can you guys PLEASE give me some suggestions on types of fish, corals, inverts that would thrive in a mini. I guess I want no larger than a 10 gallon as low as a 5 gallon. I was looking to get one of those MINI-BOWS
Are they good for this the way they are set up or should I change anything on them

If you're going with stock lighting and filter, as your other post suggests, go with a 10g. More water will give you a little more stability concerning tank specs.
Inverts in a mini- you could do hermit crabs, coral banded shrimp, maybe a shrimp paired with a goby
fish - couple gobies, especially if you find a goby paired with a shrimp. It's fun to watch them work, watch them live off each other. A great symbiotic relationship to watch in a mini tank.
corals - unless you put some good money into upgrading the lights, stock lights will not let corals flourish

thanks alot I probably will change the light. I am not to sure on what types of filters for these thank will work. I am guessing I will buy one of the 7.5 gallon tanks and go from there. I just need to figure out what type of filter. I probably will go with the goby and shrimp combo and maybe some small coral I have not started yet just thinking

You don't have to spend too much for lightin for a 10g - get the coralife 96watt 50/50 powerquad 20 inch- it will let you grow many of the corals even some sps corals. Get the mounting legs and raise it up off the open top - so you won't have too much heat build up ( at hellolights.com and premium aquatics.com)

Even two NO strip lights- one actinic and one 10k will give you 30 watts of light- plenty to keep mushrooms, polyps, and other soft corals. My boyfriend has this setup, and has a waving hand coral that has more than quadrupled in size since he got it, under this type of lighting.
