i would go with a larger tank like a 55gal. or 75gal. as a begginer i started with a 72bofront you can make some wrong move and get away with it in a larger tank the smaller you got to be better at this you have to be. then i could be wrong and every thing work out great for you. the thing is when you start in this and get hooked on it you wont to get a bigger tank after i got my 72 in like 6 months i got a 150gal. that i am still setup.
good luck

Third a larger tank The bigger the better but I think a 55g standard is a good starter tank It is 48in long which is a good size for most lighting kits
So---What I would want if I was setting up a 55g Reef
RODI Filter
Tank with built in overflows (reef ready)
Stand Canopy
Sump fuge 20g or so
mag 7 pump for sump fuge
2- good power heads
Heater
LS-
LR- 60-70lbs
Lighting is a long subject but plan for the future
Did I miss anything?
