Back to the powerheads. what brand are they and how many GPH are they. I would not think they are too strong. You really need a good flow thru your tank, a lot has to do with where you place them.

you are fine with both, and may need to add a small powerhead to the back of tank
Do you have pictures with thier placement??
Most strive for about 20X turnover and with the two you have its about 18 X
A lot depends on placement and the flow the throw out.
I have never heard of those type of powerheads - what do they look like

Powerhead placement looks fine.
Now a question - I thought you stated you had dry base rock for your tank?? I only see two small pieces of rock. Most have 1 to 1 1/2 lbs of rock per gallon of water. If you do, you need to go ahead and aquascape your tank the way you want it. The rock needs to be in the tank for your bacteria to start to colonize it.
That way everything can get settled while it cycles.

one thing to keep in mind though, most fish like to sleep in caves and hang out in them.
What fish are you planning on for this tank???
BG?????

What is this "BG" you built?
Many fish like to have rocks to swim in and out of. Some like to have caves to call their own. Others love to graze on the algae that grow on the rocks. Also, the live rock serves as surface for the nitrifying bacteria to grow (it will grow on pretty much every surface). The live rock is a porous canvas for the bacteria to grow with ease.

Hello Everyone, I'm happy to report that I took a Ammonia reading and a Nitrite reading today and my reading were
Ammonia: 8.0
Nitrite: 1.0
So it's spiking and as I read thats a good thing, so I'm doing something right, now I'll take a testing everyday, it's only been 10 days since I started cycling, So is there any advise I need as of now or do I just kick back and enjoy the ride ?
