Starting my new tank

My new 60 gallon tank has been running for seven days and the ammonia level is high.Should i do anything or just wait and let it drop on its own. :help: :help:

Just wait and everything should take care of itself.

Welcome guys or gals. Just monitor the levels (test your own water) and you should see the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate raise and then lower. When everything is ZERO, do a 10-15 water change and add the first fish, 1 at a time or a pair of clowns together. Wait 2 WEEKS and add 1 more etc. let the tank catch up with the newly added bio load. A cycle WILL take 4-6 weeks if done correctly.
