I've killed dozens in a few minutes with that stuff with no problems.(in a 55 gal reef)
Well, I took out 4 tonight and thought I was being reckless!
It does work well, and I'll just keep plugging away. Nice to see them "disappear", but again, no real hurry.
I'd like to see the price come down on the larger SH. It makes sense that breeders will sell off a lot of the smaller fry. Good cash flow. But they need to put a little more time into those babies, in my opinion. Another month or two in the ole' fry tank might see a few more of them survive the two moves they will have to make.
If we keep buying that way, they will keep supplying that way.

For the aptasias take a superglue tube and stick the end into where the aptasia withdraws and squirt a little in. After it cures pluck it out with the aptasia embedded inside the hardened superglue.
That's an awesome idea!!!!!

I noticed that too. The 3 horses I just purchased where all under 3 months of age. At that age they should still be being feed enriched live brine to make sure they're getting enough nutrition. IMHO

The tank seems to be coming along. Wow, it is so much easier to maintain than it is to repair. I guess you can cure old tank sydrome!
Still picking away at the aptasia.
Here is a visual.
As you can see, I am pretty fond of the first male. The second male is the original from 1.5 years ago. Their display is beautiful.
I ran into a pair of female yellow reidi at the LFS this weekend. I bought shaving brushes and seagrass instead. It did satisfy the urge to change and spend....

Me too. The gel type is the best. I wouldn't have believed it to be safe~except I watched a demonstration by a coral dealer at a show go through the whole process. He said he uses it a lot for fragging.

very nice. whats that really tall plant in the middle?
Thanks, Zeke!
The tall plant in the middle is seagrass, a species of caulerpa. It really is supposed to be LONG not Tall. However my tomato clown does not like that particular length no matter where I put it. She moves it around the tank constantly. She has her "area" in the back left hand side...and does not care for me adding decor.
I also added a couple of new peices of LR, though I guess those are too heavy

Good things come to those who wait.
"Your teachings" help those who help themselves.
Aptasia is evil.
So, I did expect to be back with beautiful seahorses by now. I have melted so much aptasia I feel guilty. I have added rock, removed rock. Lights up, lights down. My conclusion is simply this: Remove all rock, cleanse and recure.
Has anyone had to do this?

Squirt superglue into my tank? You are loco, but thanks!

I'll let y'all know how it goes. I have a feeling that getting the tank back in order will probably be the cure.
It really does work. make sure that is super Glue gel...i use it to secure live rock and decorations, and coral all the time
