Starting over

Hey y'all, starting over after losing my first 5 fish bc of ich and my ignorrance, will y'all give me a few suggestions on a few functional fish to buy. Whether they clean the tank eat unwanted stuff or they are just great fish. I have a 55g reef and keep in mind that I'm a 21 year old college student so it would be great if the fish had that "wow" factor bc I have people in and out of my house constantly !!!!! Thanks fir talks help and sorry for the newbie questions!!!

No matter what fish you buy, you should set up a QT first.
Nemos (clown fish) are always good fish for a 55gal reef. A bicolor blenny gets lots of attention. And you can get a foxface and tell your friends about the venomous spikes.

Back when I had my 65gal reef, I had 2 clowns, a foxface, bicolor blenny and a yellow canary wrasse.

Welcome to the site...who are you kidding...it's a saltwater tank...you have the WOW factor. LOL...everyone came to see my sand sifter goby take a bite of sand and run it out of its gills..LOL
Every saltwater critter is cool, from eye popping color to venomous spikes or weird behavior....even your tales of woe, how you have to start over will fascinate them...

thanks for yalls help, i wish i would have found this site before i came within 100 miles of my lfs, they let me buy 3 tangs (yellow, vlamingi, kole) for a 55g

. yes i know that i am also at fault but still. BUT i plan to only have this 55g for about a year or too and my graduation present will be a 120g++(maybe 180)

:and i plan to use the 55 as sump/fuge

.....so i would have been moving the tangs to a bigger home....
