Well.... Since my brace is not going to co-opperate and stay connected to my tank I went and splurged on this....Im sad Ill be loosing my rock wall but I feel strongly that my braceless tank is a disaster waiting to happen.
So should I put everything on hold and re-build my rock wall or paint the back and continue with my cycle? I might try to pry the rock wall off the other tank. doubtfull. should i tear the base rock out of it and re use it?

What a bummer.

I would try like crazy to get that wall out and reuse it, they look so cool. Even sections would look better than nothing at all. What size is the new tank?

My nw tank is 55 gallons. I lost that huge 24" front viewing pane my old tank had but
oh well.

Be sure to post a picture when you get it set up, I want to see your wall. I wish I could have done a wall when I bought my 90g, but I was moving and couldn't take the time. Now it is established and too late.
Dream: If I ever get a second tank...I will make that wall.

Forsure! Im going to get the wall off one way or another.
Its funny, I never really got my tank up and running but already I have Ideas of how to make this new one cooler.
Id like to take my existing rock wall and break off the skimmer box portion, then Refoam it into some sort of cave near the bottom.
I really want to take my time with this one
but my sand is in a 5 gal bucket,(very full) with a powerhead and still more in my old tank that i guess Ill put in my sump for the time being.
Will my "live" sand survive a week in a bucket?
Does the sand need some light?

Blammo! I did it. Got my walls off. trimming them up to fit the new tank
What an experience that was. way too much epoxy

Holy smokes banana, what did I miss. Haha I dont check the threads for a day and you have your old tank torn appart, rock wall removed and a whole new tank :) Sounds like you have some sweet ideas for the new tank though, and a lot less stress and worry that you will have to deal with. Glad you kept the wall that would have been a shame to lose. Hope everything goes well from here on out, you have been waiting quite awile now.

Its these Ideas that are killin me. I keep comming up with all these Ideas when really I should be focusing on joing the reef community, instead of having buckets and buckets ( and more buckets) full of SW, LR and sand.

And who knows what my cycle is doing. Proabally sulking in its many buckets

any how. Friday!!! I WILL have my tank full and running or Im not handbanana

Thanks Jaxfish. just put my sand in. For some reason my levels all set down to zero except my nitrate. so maybe im ready to get a hermit or two? Im waiting for my sand to settle.

LMAO, i LOVE that show! My favorite is Shake. he is such a moron. I have yet to see that episode though, may have to make an effort to find it online somewhere to watch.
