We live in Hawaii and are awaiting confirmation that we CAN own soft corals, just not "stony corals" as the DAR website says.
We are also waiting on our T5 lights and protein skimmer which will both be here next week. Once we have everything running, we have to start testing to make sure we can keep coral in our tank, and then after all of that, we are looking at ordering a soft coral nano package, or just separate coral from a website that will ship to Hawaii.
Can anyone recommend some good soft coral care books, sheets, tips, anything? Or tell us the easiest soft corals for a 100% beginner to start with? We are trying to get research out of the way so we will have some idea of what we are doing once all the equipment is here and setup, and out tank is ready to start adding.
