im curious, besides damsels, what are some good starter fish after the tank has cycled and things are lined up to add fish to the tank? i have a 55 gal tank that im starting back up right now, going to be fish only, was thinking coral, but to expensive to maintain so i will stick with fish and fake corals (lol).... when i had the tank going before of course i started out with damsels, and then once things were going and all cycled, i went ahead with clown fish and that is as far as i got with the tank since my filter system killed everything(wasnt big enough to do my tank)..... thanks for the help

There are a couple more questions we need to know.
Are you going aggressive or non?
How much live rock?
What kind of substrate?
What types of fish do you like?
Are you currently cycled and ready to go and what kind of equipment do you have?
How much experience do you actually have?
And.......what types of fish have you seen that appealed to you?

answers to the questions.....
Are you going aggressive or non? Umm im not sure on this, im not looking for like sharks and eels lol
How much live rock? umm i have no live rock... im using my live rock that died that i had cleaned and let bake out in the sun
What kind of substrate? ??????
What types of fish do you like? umm i like tangs, clowns, porcipine puffer, clown gobies, etc... i like color i guess you can say
Are you currently cycled and ready to go and what kind of equipment do you have? umm i am in the process of being cycled bout 2 weeks in; equipment well is a 55 gal tank running on a emperor 400 bio wheel filtration system by marineland, a ph that was in a 75 gal fish tank(not sure the rating but i know it was the right rating for the 75 gal) and im running just a 25w 10000k white light... tank has rock, sand, and a few fake corals
How much experience do you actually have? umm i used to have a 25 gal coral tank(my first) got out of that into the 55 gal, had that going for a good year or so till my my filter was able to keep up anymore and tank died off slowly and i didnt know until checking the filter for the last cause of things, so i would say im not a noobie
And.......what types of fish have you seen that appealed to you? umm i like color, so fish that have color
im trying to learn more to help make the investment last instead of just buying fish and it not working out and money being wasted basically

ok, your tank is too small for tangs and the lrg puffers.
You can have the dwarf puffers aka tobys
you could do something like this
pair of clowns
valintini puffer
dwarf angel
midas blenny
diamond goby or engineer goby
