Step by step to kill Aiptasia

I have read the hitch hiker thread, and it says to use Joe's Juice. OK. How? Do I have to remove the rock from the water? Do I need a hypodermic needle? Could somebody please give a step by step as to what needs to happen here please? My tank is 3 1/2 weeks old and I'm starting to see alot of it, want to nip it. Thanks!!! :notsure: :notsure:

Hey man I got ya on this one!!! K Get the joes juice, some will come with its own syringe..... which is cool! Shake the joes juice really well, suck a little up in the syringe, then go slowly towards the astapia's mouth and once with in range Squeeze a little in their mouth "Gently" It doesnt take much to kill them! Just that simple! If you cant find Joes juice, you can use Kalkwasser mix, cause that is what joes juice is, just like 2 teaspoons in one oz of water......!!!!!!

Good answer! I appreciate it. The more I look, the more I see. Could be a Saturday project, maybe Sunday too. Hey, shouldn't you be at a bachelor party or something? When is the big day?

Saturday...... Batchlor party was baned with this wedding, after my new wife found out what happend with the first batchlor party........... What happens in Vegas stays..... Dam I forgot I bragged to her about that prior to knowing we were going to get married!!! She was a friend when I did that......... Now she wants me forever, but with out the Batchlor party......
Just remember that Joes juice is Concentrated Calcuim, so be careful with it, and how much you use at once!!!!!

Loose lips sink parties....

OK, now you have me a little worried. What is too much then? Should I do it in stages? the tank is very healthy, and I don't have anything that requires alot of Calcium, so I don't want to screw up that balance I have lucked into. What do you think?

I would do about 20 a day, if you have that many.... some people have upwards of a 100!!!

Sounds like a plan. One more ??. What about a Peppermint shrimp being in with a cleaner shrimp? Can they co-exist peacefully?

I have never owned peppermint shrimp..... so I have no clue....... My cleaner gets along with my Coral Banded..... but My Coral Banded doesn't get along with my Cleaner....

I went after some yesterday, I used hot R/O water, shot them and at the same time, sucked them out. I won't know for a while, if they will come back or not.

Thanks guys. I picked up a Peppermint on the way home tonight. It is VERY active. I haven't seen it on the aip yet, but it is certainly all over everything else!! I have a very busy weekend, but will do H2O change on Sunday morning after I pick up some Frogspawn from a buddy. I may try to inject a little Kalk Sunday afternoon if the pepper doesn't do any good.

The boiling watter does well if you are worried about the over dosing.... but you have to work quick with that, and then you can also use Lemon juice..... That also works if that little peppermint shrimp doesn't !!!!!!! You have alot of choices!!!

Brother, sorry to say, but, you picked the wrong weekend. It's gonna be nasty. I'm bummin' for you. They are calling for 2" rain. I was actually thinking about you today when I looked at the forcast.

Are you kidding me..... I am there till thursday does it start shinin any time during that stay??? We have our sea world tickets and zoo tickets all lined up!!!!

Supposed to roll in tomorrow and go through Sunday morning. Showers again on Wed. Keep in mind that they are never right and I'll do a little anti-rain dance for you.... Did you book that dinner cruise?

We are going to check it out prior to actually booking.... but that IS on our to DO list!!!!!
