Sticky Aptasia Situation

Hi, I have a 20 gallon tank that just holds an Octopus and 2 sea stars. But I have a growing population of Aptasia in my tank and can't seem to get rid of it. It's Everywhere, on the glass and rocks... I've boiled the rocks and taken them out of the tank, but the anemones are so small right now and there are so many, I don't know how to kill the ones especially on the glass. Can anybody help me out?

Is that just added to the water or is that used with a syringe? Because I can't inject all of them with it, theres too many.

all i do, is boil some water in a cup (in the microwave) then add enough kalk to make a thin paste. then (you know those plastic sqeezy things that come with test kits that suck up water and then squirt it out?) i use one of those to suck it up and then blast the area or the "mouth" of the aptasia. you can cover a pretty large area in one squirt

Is it live rock? If not, just leave it out of the water for a few days. I would have think that boiling the rock is going to kill any life in the rock, but I may not know.
I left some rocks out over night and the aptasia still lived, then I left it out for 4 days and have not seen any since.

Well yea, of course when you boil a rock you don't put it in the tank afterwards because you are killing everything else on the rock, I knew that much. All right I'll have to try that Kalk mix. Thanks
P.S. Those plastic queezy things are called Pipettes.

its actually a powder. kalk is short for kalkwasser. its a white powder that you can use to raise your calcium. thats probably why you were having trouble finding it online. i use the brand made by Kent. they actually have it on this site under dry goods

when it is that concentrated. you only drip it slowly in a high flow area when you are using it to raise calcium levels. but dont worry, it wont harm your tank if you use it to kill aptasia. i do it all the time

I have a 30 gallon tank that was starting to be overcome with aiptasia.
Ordered some Joe's Juice and with at few applications over a few days, it is all gone!
Get Joe's Juice and spend a day or 2 having a killing frenzy!
