Sting Ray City, Grand Caymen

Anyone ever been here? its in the caribbean off of an island called grand caymen.
I went there about 4 yrs ago and went snorkeling on a reef and then the tour guide took us to a sand bar where 30 or more sting rays lived. These sting rays were massive! they ranged from 1'-4'. I also feed a few of them. It was scary, you had to watch where you stepped because they were everywhere.
I didnt really think this was as cool as it was (seeing the reef and swimming with rays) prob because i didnt have a tank yet. I cant wait to go snorkeling or scuba divng again because now i will have more respect for corals and the fish.

its a cool place isn't it? Although after Grand Cayman got slammed by hurrican Ivan things got re arranged down there. From what I hear Sting Ray City is about the same, the shallow water got a little deeper due to the hurricane. But the rays are gonna go where they are fed

Ya i saw divers there. i was just snorkeling at the time. I actually held a massive sting ray in my arms and fed one. THe tour guide was cool, he naimed one of them debbie and claimed to know which ray was debbie out of like 30 or more. To me they were all the same looking except for size.

I actually liked the diving more than the snorkeling bit at stingray city, mostly cause of the crowds. The turtle farm was awesome, until I realized they would be soup later
