Stock List for 29g

I've just read Fenner's book and have been focusing on setup and such lately that I haven't had a lot of time to think about fish. I don't want to overstock. What are your thoughts for a 29g? Wife wants a Clownfish and I'm more interested in the inverts. So what would you recommend?

well you like inverts and wife likes clowns. get a MH and get an anenome with a clown. you'll enjoy the relationship between the two. Don't get an anenome unless you have a MH.

If you want to spend some money I would do what rbrockm1 said except I would get a pair of clowns, with a dwarf anngel, and some inverts.

I have to differ with that idea.
MH (metal halide) lights could easily overheat a 29 gallon tank.
I don't know exactly what anemone need as far as watts per gallon, but I am sure there are other lighting options that will work.
The Clown and Anemone board might be helpful, if you decide to go that way.

Very true, didn't think about that with the mh, but t5 would do the trick without the heat and less expense.

Well don't leave us hanging!

How high off of the tank top do you run them? And does it affect your tank water temp?
Not to be rude, just curious, but why MH for that size tank? I guess my assumption has been that the larger tanks need the MH so that it reaches the tank floor without losing any, uh, effect..

my lights are about 10 inches off the tank, i plan on getting some cooling fans for this summer. As i expect it to raise the temp a little. Right now i had just switched over from PC to MH so i do not put my lights on for 8-10. Im starting out with 4 hours and working my way up so my corals will get used to it.
Well i guess i got tired to keeping the same kind of corals, i want to keep some SPS and clams. So i got MH lighting and i saw some other people with 150W and 175W of mh over a 29.
