hello all, first I would like to say how helpfull saltwaterfish.com has been and thankyou.
Now onto business, I will be setting up a 150 gallon 48length24width30height fish only with live rock predator aquarium. I have a good skimmer (tunze 9010) a hob filter, heater 150 watts flourescent light and some live rock and fine grade sand, powerhead. is this enough to keep the following and is this list realistic in terms of long term keeping?
Bamboo shark(still only egg, will upgrade/trade in when it gets bigger)
clown trigger
Picasso trigger
copperband butterfly
Any advise would be greatly appreciated
Thankyou

You defintely need to wait a little while for your tank to cycle before I would put some expensive fish in the tank i.e. clown trigger. I dont think it would be big enough for the bamboo shark but if you trade it in it should be fine. My friend had a 180G and he has some tangs, a wrasse, eel, and a epaulet shark, and an angel. He had to let it cycle a while before he didnt lose any fish. Fish tanks are like racecars the faster you go the harder you crash is a great motto to live by.

as far as the inhabitants go would that previous list be ok for my setup even if I added a powder blue tang ( dori) , bearing in mind these fish would be permanently in a 150 tall.
Thankyou

one more question, would this list be possible (without fighting) to permanently house the following (excluding the shark) in a 150 gallon fowlr
48L 24W 30H?
bamboo shark
clown trigger
picasso trigger
Lionfish
2 Copperband butterfly
I am open to any suggestions and advise
