I have the 180G and its not gonna get any bigger. So u all have convinced me that a styingray wont work but now Im eharing a coral cat wont work either. Ive received very mixed opinions on this.

So is there anything really wrong with 120lbs of live rock an eel, a coral cat shark, Lion Fish and how about a species of puffer?
I could always replace the cat shark with another eel if folks would really think Id have a problem on my hands. I can get a couple of urchins and .......... keep the suggestions and opinions rolling in
Thanks

I still think getting a coral cat is a bad idea. Just get an eel, lion, puffer and whatever other fish. Just wait for that one in a life time oppurtity for that marbled catshark. Ive found some sites that sold marbled catsharks, but none in stock but you can email them to tell them you want one when one comes in.

well if he really wants a shark and fish then it will be a while before he can get a shark for that size of aquarium, and if he did then no triggers, puffers, angels, or wrasses. If wants to give up the idea of sharks then he can have those fish. But just wondering how many marbled cats has anybody seen. From what Ive seen looking for them online they are pretty rare. It would be cool if they were more avalible but in Aquarium Sharks and Rays he says they are not common in the aquarium trade. Still the stocking list is up to ackermsb. We are just here to give input.
If ackermsb wanted to wait for the marble then I would put an eel, lion, tangs, or any other medium sized fish. Small fish and inverts would be eaten by the eel. If there wasn't a plan for a marble then triggers, lions, puffers, eels, tangs, and anything else as long as they are compatible.

I've got a 180 reef setup with about 200Lbs. of live rock.
I honestly don't see it being possible to put a 2 foot shark comfortably in that setup.

Mike22cha can you send me an email with the site you found: ackermsb@comcast.net
It may be more compatible for me to get an eel or two and puffer, trigger, etc (I would just have a more diverse stocking list) instead of the shark since it seems to be such a limiting species. But Id love the place you found it at anyway since I havent made up my mind yet. Getting ready to start cycling the tank again so were looking at at least a month. Just finished the plumbing on the new setup and it is sweet
