I currently have 1 mexican turbo snail (I believe), and 2 blue leg hermits. I don't want any more blue legs so I'm going to go with the scarletts for the rest of the hermits and maybe get a few more mexican turbos and some other kind of snail, I think I have a baby cerith that hitchhiked on the LR. Anyways, here's my idea on the list, suggestions on improving it or changing it all together are welcome:
5 mexican turbos
5 cerith
2 blue leg hermits
8 scarlett hermits
1 cleaner shrimp
4 peppermint shrimp
maybe 1 or 2 emerald crabs? (don't know much about them yet)
eventually 1 or 2 serpent stars
What do you think? I know I am definitely having 2 perc clowns and a royal gramma in the tank, still thinking of 1 or 2 more fish to add. :happyfish

I would probably only do 1 more mexican turbo, they are large and need alot to eat. Also, I would get at least 10 nassarius snails for your sandbed, plus they are cool to watch. Get 1 emerald crab. Other than that the list looks good.

My emerald crab decided to start weed-whacking on the cool macro-algea I had on my LR so I 86'd him. Plus he was chasing my bi-color blenny out of his hidey-holes.

I have an emerald and he is "nocternal" I just got him yesterday and he hides all day long and then moves around when it is dark" He is super tiny and really cool looking.

Here's an updated list, what do you think?
2 Mexican turbo snails (already have 1)
3-4 Cerith snails (already have 1)
4 Nassarius snails
2 Blue leg hermits (have them)
8 Scarlet leg hermits
3 Peppermint shrimp
2 Cleaner shrimp
1-2 Feather dusters
1-2 Serpent Stars
1 Emerald crab
Is this too much?
Also, has anyone else had any trouble with their emerald crab chasing fish? I was thinking of getting a bicolor blenny so I'm still considering whether or not to get the emerald.

Well when you get him he will be small "unless you buy a large one" And when there small they wont really do a hole lot.

Here's what I bought this afternoon. The guy gave me the wrong kinda of snails instead of cerith, but I'm assuming these ones are just as good.
5 Astrea snails
5 Nassarius snails
7 scarlet leg hermits (3 are HUGE)
and 1 blue leg got mixed in
plus I have 2 other blue leg hermits and 1 mexican turbo.
I also got about 16 pounds of lace rock, my tank is looking awesome!! I think I"m getting my first fish this weekend :D

The astreas are good cleaners. They move real slow and if they fall you will have to upright them yourself because they cant turn over and if you dont they will die.
