Is it possible to switch the red corris wrasse with a pinkface, goldbar or sunset wrasse? which would you recommend with the soon to be stocklist? thanks
Honestly I would strongly recommend against any of them. They all are typically too large and mostly, way too active for a 90gal. I had a 5.5" Goldbar wrasse that was too much for my 125gal.
If you're interested in a wrasse, what about a medium sized hogfish? Candy Hogfish, aka Twin Spot Hogfish--(Bodianus bimaculatus), Red Diana Hogfish--(Bodianus diana), or a Coral Hogfish--(Bodianus mesothorax
)?

I've heard before that the pinkface is smaller than the others though. is this true at all?
Sort of, it's a double edged sword. It's true Pinkface's only reach about 6" or 7", vs. the foot of a Lunare or Sunset, or the foot and a half of a Red Coris, however, every Pinkface I've seen for sale has been already pretty large, usually least 4 3/4". At that size, I think they may be too active for a 4' tank.

well the day has finally come and I am now octopusless.
I wanted to add a fish tomorrow but I think my stocklist is still a little shaky and im not too sure what to add.
My dad has a small longnose hawk, Gb Maroon clown and a small lunare wrasse which I would most likely be moving to mine because he wants a reef.
Would I be good for a while with lets say..
3 inch longnose hawk,
2 1/2 lunare wrasse,
harlequin wrasse
1 1/2 to 2 inch GB Maroon Clown,
same sized niger trigger
3-4 green chromis
purple or yellow tang
I was also wondering if I could do a small blue jaw trigger with the list as well as a niger too? Im not too sure on their compatibility
Thanks a lot!!

small triggers

I would say yes to doing the small blue jaw with I have both in my 150g (with 2 other triggers, 2 GS maroons, a hawkfish, lunare wrasse and a kole tang). I would try to find the niger as small as possible as they grown really fast. Other than that, you may have your chromis' kill each other but ya never know?? Sounds good to me

It wont be 'overstocked', as far as bioload goes its a little more than normal, but as long as you have good husbandry, there shouldnt be a problem, and the triggers wont outgrow this tank for atleast 3 years. I would do the triggers or the tang last, whichever is larger. other than that???

I have a 40 gallon sump on it so that would help. None of these would be a problem with my anemone the clown is with right? And would they be bothered by some 2 inch feeder crabs? Or aid they bother serpent stars?

the crabs will eventaully be eaten by the triggers, they are coral safe not invert safe though. serpent stars hide good, they havent eaten mine in my tank yet. clown and anemone will be fine.

Wellllll I went to every lfs around today looking for the perfect fish. I finally found the perfect Niger trigger, not even 1 1/2 inches long and was exited because I never saw one this small before ,I brought him home and did a super careful and long acclimation because this little guy was too perfect to take any chances on and I put him in the tank and he was fine he ate too. When I came back about 3 hours later I found that my stupid huge feeder crabs caught him and killed him and were now fighting over him!
I named him killer and everything! Now idk wut to do with the feeder crabs. Should I kill them or put them in the sump, I don't want them eating my snails and stomellas though.

I think I'm going to put the bluejaw in the tank during more towards the summer but what can go in before that in the meantime?

Is it possible to have a sailfin and a yellow tang together. I heard the yellow is aggresive to thingss of the same color. Would it work if I got them both at the size time tommorow?

Well I got the sailfin last night and he’s doing fine. He looks pretty tiny in my tank but he ate some mysis so far but he hasn’t touched the seaweed clip (no garlic in it). When I bought him the lfs guy said to feed it some other thing but I forgot what it was, anything that he would need specifically?
Also, as you can see I bought the yellow one because it looks nicer. Unfortunately I think that it might be a juvenile Desjardin because I saw it listed as one on another sight (competitor, so can’t say I guess). So what do you think?
