i've got a 55gal with a 48'' bubble wall, 2 topfin 300gph carbon filters and i was thinking of these fish:
2 purple firefish
2 occelaris clowns
1 neon goby
1 flame angel
1 royal gramma
and some snails
Please tell me what you think.... thanks.
if you think this is too many fish please tell me if their is anything i can do to my tank to possibly have these fish.

IMO those fish would be too much for a 55 gallon. Cross off 1 or two of the fish, preferably the flame, and it will look fine to me.

I would agree with Viper but not because of the tank size. Most of those fish are tiny. The neon goby and the firefish for example don't get too big at all.
The problem is you don't seem to have that much filtration set up. If you had some kind of skimmer and a good amount of live rock, then that fish list would be fine IMO
But hey, I'm a newbie so what do I know?
