Hi, i started a new 6g tank a few months ago and all of the levels are perfect except my sg wich is 1.023 but im working on getting it up. it is cycled now and has been for a week. i was wondering how i should stalk it because i have reefers cramp
i was thinking an invert only. the lights are 18w 6000k. i dont think i want to do a reef, not for a while anyways even if i do. i already have another 6g nano cube that is a mini reef so that would be kinda dumb to have two. like i said i cant think of how to stock it... thanks

I was researching a harley tank for a while and people told me to keep 3-4 chocolate chip stars in their own tiny tank or in a fuge of another tank and when its time to feed the harleys cut off a leg of one of the stars and drop it in. When its time to feed them again cut off the leg of a different star so the other one can grow its leg back. As long as you keep the stars alive you will have an endless supply of food.

how often would you have to feed them? and would a 5 gallon hex with everything but the lights stock work to keep the stars in?

I would imagine that 5 gallons is enough for 3-4 chocolate chip stars. How often you feed them depends on how many shrimp you have. In a 6 gallon tank I would only put 2 maybe 3 harleys in there and feed them a leg and a half a week.

Thats what I was told. And the second time use a different star and the next time another new one to let the legs grow back. I know that 05xrunner has a harley in his tank so im sure he can answer a lot on your questions. Does anyone else here have experience with these shrimp?

Whats the point of having a tank with no fish? Starfish are about as exciting as watching paint dry and I love my cleaner shrimp and all, but the idea of a reef tank is variety and so people look at it and think wow, not "what the heck is in there?" or where are the fish? I'd have a clown, firefish, and cleaner and then think about other inverts.
