stocking question

I'm about to pick up a new 150 gallon tank with a 40 gallon sump, 150 lbs. of live rock, live sand, ev 180 skimmer and was wondering what would be a good combo for the tank. I was wondering if I could put a tang, trigger, and a lion together. I was thinking a niger trigger, not sure on the lion(suggestions), and a yellow tang. Do you think that they would be compatible and would it be possible to add anything else?

The fish list should really be up to you, it is your tank. As far as the start of your list triggers and lions should not be put together. The trigger will nip at a lion to the point of killing it. Just remember to do research on the fish you want, and go slow. There are compatability charts on other sites. Good luck, and happy fishing. Tangs and triggers are a good start. Just my 2 cents.

thanks for the reply, I had a bit of conflicting info on how they would interact, think I'll start with the trigger

Triggers as with many other aggressive fish are very tempermental. I have seen various triggers (clowns, queens, undy's) that are docile and do not bother any other fish. I have also see ones that terrorize the tank and kill many of the fish housed with them.
Maybe is the best answer for the trigger and the lion. My LFS had a big lion and a large Undulated, Niger, and Clown in the same 90g sale tank forever and the lion was the boss...
