I think there's a rule on the inches of fish to the amount of gallons in the tank.. I'm thinking of a stocking list and don't remember.. is it 1" per gallon?

Well, the recommended stocking rule is 5" of fish per 1 gallon of water, however, with more experience, better filtration, more frequent water changes, etc...it CAN be pushed to 3" of fish per 1 gallon of water, however, that is not recommended.

Hey emperor I think you got that backwards.
Don't you mean 1" of fish per 5 Gallons of water and can be pushed to 1" of fish per 3 Gallons with good filtration?
