Just remember, the more live rock you put in there, the fewer fish you can have. They got to have space to swim man. If you have 40 - 60 pounds already, I would stick with that, especially if you want it to be a fish dominant tank.
Just a guess you used the damsels to help cycle right? Getting them out is going to be more of a hassel than it was worth to help your cycle. Its common advise given by LFS to add damsels to your tank to cycle it. Unfortunatly is bad advise the same can be accomplished by leaving your tank alone or adding a raw shrimp tail.
IMO I would get rid of the damsels asap, and then add the rest of your LR. You are also going to be faced with territoriality and aggressive damsels now if you leave them in there. They are the first fish in your tank and will stake claim to what their territory making any future additions stressed and possibly torrmented. Test your water as the addition of more LR depending on how much could start another cycle. After all your LR is in and your water has cycled then you can start to add live stock. just my 2 cents
I've done the same as new-guy did with the three damsels in a 40 with 40# lr, my lfs also told me to do it. I'm going to get them out next week maybe and start stocking. Anybody got an idea as to what would be a could combo of fish to put in there?
