I have had long hair algea in my tank for 6 months and can't get rid of it. Is there any type of snail or critter or fish that eats it. I have tried to leave light off for 3 weeks and it helped but still came back.
Lawnmower blenny...as the name implies will mow down algae.

I got 4 of these trochus from this site a month ago and they cleaned out all my micro algae in less than a week. The ones from this site are large and you don't want to get so many that you run out of food for them. They are non-stop eaters. And, they have coraline on their shells which makes them attractive.
