store bought pods

I thinking of changing my CC for the Fuji Pink live sand. My concern is my Mandarin. If I take all the CC out, will the LR be enough for him. I have seen where I can buy live pods online or in an LFS. Will these tide him over till the new sand gets established?
I do feed some BBS about every 3 days. This is a 37 gal. with abour 50lbs of LR. 1 firefish and 3 clowns. I've had the
mandarin for about a year and a half and would really hate to lose him.

changing to live sand is a great idea. if you don't think you have enough pods in your liverock, then yes, I would buy some and put them in the tank. i'm surprised your mandarin has done so good with so little live rock. most people have a really hard time with them-congrats. I've had mine for 3 years and I love him.

um, not sure about buying pods online. find a friend that has them or an lfs, and just get a cup of sand from them.

Gati-- I'm sure that it is just dumb luck that the mandarine is doing so well. But the tank has been up for about 3 years and I'm still really new to this. I'm scared to death about adding new fish or changing anything. Thats why I only have 5 fish. Just before I got him I turned the flashlight on and looked in the tank after the lights were out ans the bed was literally crawling with little bugs. So I got the manderine.
Bang Guy-- I may take you up on your offer. I saw pods on ---- and I'm not really sure about ordering off of there. I am going after the live sand this week end. (closest real civilization is 100 miles away) can I get your E-mail addy. This system says I'm not authorized to have that info. I have no idea why.
Thanks again :)
