well there's a couple things you could do. if you want to keep it live you would have to put it in a tank with live fish or inverts, but if you just let it dry and later on you decide you want to use it, you can mix it with the other live sand you have and that will turn the sand live again.

got a fuge?? if soo just put it all in there.... or even put it in a bucket w/ a air pump or powerhead.. just keep it running and drop a few flakes of fish food in there.. that will keep it alive till u use it.. and im perdy shure u eventually will... people tend to get hooke on saltwater aquariums and always upgrade to bigger tanks...
ohh something els just pop in my head.. u can also keep it around so that when or if u clean your sand bed.. u will have some left to replace the sand u took out..(althogh most people just buy sand clean up crew)

if it's that prepackaged "live" sand (ie: aragalive) just leave it in a container because it's not really live.
If it's a purchased lot of real livesand - sell it.
Or you can donate it to the coast to coast annual sandtrade...

yes its aragalive. but while i was waiting for replies, i just put some saltwater in the bag like it came. should i pour out the water and just leave it to dry? i think dry sands fine with me
oh , will i lose sand when siphoning(cleaning) my sand bed and tank? will it come through teh siphon? if it does could i just plop it back in my tank
