Strange alien visitor!!

Last night I was looking at my tank as usual when I noticed this WEIRD creature in a spot its definately never been before. I have a big, flat-ish, curved-ish piece of base rock under my live rock. The live rock on top of it kind of makes a flow-through cave that is open in back and front. This is where the creature was sitting -- on the top surface of the base rock under the cave shelf. I could see it easily with it silohetted against the backdrop of the white wall behind the tank.
It looked like a perfectly clear, jellylike gumdrop about 1/4" tall at its biggest. It changed size and shape slightly for the 20 minutes that I watched it with a flashlight. There were clear tentacles of varying lengths coming out from the bottom aiming upwards with a little ball on the end of each. It didn't move about on the rock at all, and when it changed shape it did so slowly that I couldn't even see it happening. Obviously I don't have any pictures, but maybe I could draw one if it would help with ID at all.
This morning the creature was gone. What the heck...? I'm really curious as to what it may be.

Sorry it's so small, and well, BLUE, but this is kind of what it looked like, except clear all over. It was hard to draw in Paint and I had to make the different parts different colors so it wasnt a big white blob.
Sometimes the center part was taller and looked more like a tree stump, sometimes the top edge flared out a little so it was flatter. The tentacles went longer and shorter and seemed to move with the current, of course.

it's a jelly!!! they don't get so big if i remember right. i don't think they are dangerouse if you don't have corals. actually i don't know jack about them. i just remember seeing them somewhere :notsure: . but it is a jelly

Would an anemone do that? I guess it could have been.
If it's a jelly, what kind could it have been? From what I've searched on the forums I haven't really seen anything like it.
There's another critter living in a hole in the live rock that looks like a grapefruit colored crown with the center filled in. A little cushion with fat points around the outside. I don't know whats up with me and finding these mysterious creatures in my tank. Maybe I need to stop poking around with a flashlight and let the beasts lie!!!
