strange crab?

I just saw about a 2 inch white bristled crap in my tank.I think its a carnivore cause of its claws and when i went away my yellow doctor tang died and when i came back 2 days later all the meat had been eatin off the skeleton!!!
Does anyone any idea of what crab this is?

well if your tang did die the crab did his job. Crabs generally are part of a clean up crew that eat sick, dead, or dying fish. They also eat left over food and keep the tank clean. I doubt that 2 inch bristle crab would take down a tang. See if you can post a pic of the crab and i'm sure someone here can I identify it for you.

I have, What I believe to be, EXTREMLEY large hermit crab. It lives in a rock I bought from a LFS. IT has killed (and eaten) 2 Blood Shrimp, about 4 snails, an d a Yellow Tang! This thing is very large, and I don't know how to get rid of it!
