Strange Crab

Purchased a live rock from LFS. Without my knowledge (or theirs) a very, very large Crab resides in the rock. It has eaten everything slow moving I purchase. I don't want it. I have brought it up to the LFS, but, according to their pictures, they don't know what it is. I know it is a crab. It is very large...and aggressive. Problem is how to get rid of it without killing the rock it's in!!

Did not know the Crab from Hell was in there. Want to get rid of it, without harming the rock. Large rock -$85. It,s making me very angry!!

You can try putting the rock in low salinity like 1.010 ish. the rock shouldn't die, but the crab should try and get out of dodge...
Or you could try a freshwater dip, will kill some, but not everything on the rock...

Make sure you update what happens, i would like to find out what your going to do with the crab lol. is it an ugly guy? very interesting story and i would be freaked out to see something crawl out of a rock i bought that i didn't know about.

Any chance it's a mantis shrimp? They get pretty big and are very aggressive.
