My BTA has been settled in one spot for an entire year. Last week I do a water change and I think I made it mad... He started roaming all week. Every morning he was somewhere else. Last night when I come home, I'm horrified to see him sucked up into the filter!
But it looked like it split inside the filter tube. One half was stuck to the inside of the tube, and the other half was stuck half in/out of the intake. The half that was free in the tube, I released back into the tank just cause I have high hopes and want this guy to survive. The other half had to be flushed because it was so stuck in the intake I had to cut it up =[.
This morning, the half that I dropped back into the tank has walked up a couple rocks and is displaying some tentacles. Can a ripped in half anemone still walk but will eventually die? Or do you think the anemone split under the stress of trying not to die in a filter, and has a chance of surviving? The Maroon Clown won't go anywhere near the little half-anemone.
