I have a 28gal nano cube with 105wat CF-Quad combo lighting? Is that strong enought for any anenome? If so, which ones? i want to get something for my false percula clowns to host to. Or are there any other soft corals that clowns would host to if my lighting isnt strong enough for anenome? Thanks

well some would say yes, some would say no. IMO, no..CF basically means power compacts..they will not penetrate the depth of your nano cube as well as T5s or MHs.im sure the anemone would live, but it probably will not thrive.. you can try frogspawns, toadstool, duncans, or my avatar--large bodied zoas, fuzzy green shrooms..place the frogspawn rather high in your tank if you go that route..

the anemone u get will probably do fine, but not thrive under power compact. its really 50/50. t5 or mh is better, and will increase the likelihood of success.

ususally cubes are not more than 12 inches deep, so it should be okay,,, eveyone is right in the fact that compact flourescents dont penetrate very deep, but as you tank is not deep it should work and thrive. The best question is, do you have the room for it in you tank, they can get rather large and take over a lot of space in a small tank like that.

ya its just a 28 gal. I may not get one, worrying about it getting too large and killing other corals. I just wanted something for my false percs to host to.
