stuck conch

I just got done moving over half of my LR because my fighting conch was wedged between 2 rocks down at the bottom. I'm glad I noticed him there my crabs were starting to close in on him.
The plus side to it is my tank looks a bit new and different now.

:happyfish You know I had the same thing happen to me a few months back. All for a conch I know I don't know how they do it, but I'm sure the stupid thing will do it again. They sure are cute and funny little things though.

Yeah I have had mine for over a year and never had him get stuck like that. I tried to get him out with my grabbers but he was stuck pretty good.

I always thought conch were predators and munch on snails. do they need bigger shells.

A conch's shell will get larger with the animal itself, unlike a hermit crab that pirates its home from another animal and does need bigger shells as it grows.

Are they known to bury themselves into the sandbed??? Mine buries himself in the sandbed and stays there for the whole day. :notsure:

Yep! Sometimes mine is under the sand for days.
