Upgraded my tank and now have two sumps and one
Rio 28HF for sale.
The first sump is a Tidepool II used but in perfect condition. $50
I also have a smaller sump for tanks up to 75 gallons, this one
is new with bio balls if wanted. It has one return inlet and is
coated plexi. $60
The pump is used but works great and has box and attatchments
it came with. $35
Everything is negotiable, so prices are best offer or trades.
I will ship the sumps but they are large and will cost over-sized.
I am looking for some more live rock and live sand, if you live in
Cal and want to trade.
I am sorry I dont have any pics right now.
Thanks jmrents

Hi Big911Dog,
Welcome to the hobby:) . PetBarn is the only LFS that I know of in Manteca. Their is one in Stockton and one in Modesto that I know of. Drop me an email an I will give you their numbers. It's nice to see two fellow reefers in my neighborhood, I was beginning to think I was on an island. :)

It is indeed nice to see some other fishy people from Manteca on our forum.
My opinion on the LFS around here is a no brainer.
Carter's Pet Mart in Stocton, is the only store around
here that I shop in.
The Pet Barn on Louise is ok, but their selection and
prices are not what I would call ideal.
I have purchased most everything I needed for my
salt water conversion at Pet Mart with the exception
of some items that I found on the internet for a better
price, ie Euro-reef Skimmer
They are friendly and helpful and will indeed
negotiate fair prices with you for most everything.
Ask for Randy, he's the man.
I still have the stuff for sale by the way if anyone is
interested, but unfortunately my camera is on the blink
so no pictures right now, sorry.
Thanks and Good luck

Thanks for the info. I went to Carter's and, frankly, was kinda scared away. The place was a mess and there were dead fish all over the tanks. I found a good place in Modesto off Briggsmore and a REALLY cool place in Sacramento. There was a couple of people at Pet Barn that were helpful, but not knowing much about the hobby, I can't tell if I'm being steered in the right direction.
Right now I'm looking for a specific tank and I'm willing to wait to find it, so I'm just doing a lot of reading and learning for when I get a chance to bring the tank on line.
Would it be inappropriate to ask for your e-mail addresses in case I have any questions of a local nature?
chris
p.s. maybe I should just start a manteca thread...

I don't know if they're still around, but Twins in Stockton used to be pretty decent for a valley LFS. I live in Modesto, and drive to Milpitas to do business with Aquatic Gallery. IMO, the best LFS in the bay area. 2nd choiceis Tropical Paradise in San Leandro. not just across town, I agree, but by far better than any of the local stores.

Surprised to hear about Pet Mart's fish, I was just in there on
Thursday and found no probs with there salt water tanks...
The place always seems to be a mess though, they cater
to so many different pet products.
Aquarium Concepts in Hayward, by no means close, is a very
good choice for fish and tanks etc. and has one of the
sweetest 2500 gal tanks IMO around. This place does indeed
have everything you could ask for.
Good luck with your search.
