Stupid freaking random snowfall!!

Okay so the past few weeks have been pretty nice weatherwise and we have spent a few outside in the sun and with the baby so we put up the fabric canopy over the metal frame and apparently the snowfall we had last night/this morning was heavy enough to completely destroy the frame. Bent, broken, destroyed. I'm so pissed off. ARGH. :mad: :mad:

Global warming is causing an increase in precipitation due to evaporation, which in turn causes greater and more frequent snowfalls which in turn leads to an increase in glacier advancement and thicker ice formations. Although the polar ice caps are melting the ice is merely moving to different areas. Global warming

LoL we are due for an ice storm in NY tonight. I too thought winter was OVER!

lol where exactly is the ice moving? The equator? Where is this place that the snowfall is increasing? I haven't seen a winter with any substantial amount of snow since the mid 90's. And all politicians are full of crap.

al gore is an idiot, this isn't global warming. With how cold it is outside I think we have a problem with global cooling....

Phix where are you? Here in CO we're supposed to get 8-12" of snow starting today. At least thats what they say for the plains.....

I don't care about Al Gore, but denying the existence of global warming flies directly in the face of basic scientific fact. Is evolution a load of crap too? How about gravity?

well gravity works as far as evolution i am a man who believes in creation things are going to naturally adapt look at our fishtanks, yes we feed them but with enough lr you can feed a dragonette without buying any food, if we came from apes why are there still apes? hell i don't believe in global warming either not as anything new anyway, there was an ocean here in the permian basin here thousands of years ago so did global warming dry that up? science can theoretically prove anything, if you puree an elephant you can get it through the eye of a needle so yes that can be done, they say if you stretch are insides out we will go around the globe so many times have they ever done it, they say they can measure the temp. on the sun has science done that, or just assume it sorry if i go on to me science is just a guessing game some of it works like medical advances, and look at rocket science in the 70's we had a better safety record than we do today science screws up all the time jmo tobin

Yes they are. The man who invented the internet hasnt convinced me of anything.

Let me put it this way...There is not a consensus in the scientific community about global warming.
Have you ever read some of the research conducted by Dr. Friedrich Verlag or Robert W. Felix? What is occuring is merely a shift in ice formation. Consider the history of our planet. The ice is melting in selected areas of the planet due to a rise in temp in these areas only not the entire planet. The additional preciptation this creates is causing increased snow fall in other areas. This is due in part to the depletion of the ozone layer above these areas which happen to be above the poles. In terms of glacial growth we are in direct opposition to global warming. The glaciers in the US are growing not shrinking. In Colorado snowfall this year has exceeded the past 10 years.

long time... Im in CA now, I was back in CO in Dec and Feb just in time to shovel snow
