stupid question :)

I bought some a bunch of supplements from a guy who no longer needs them. Included was a tub of Kent Reef Carbon. Here's my stupid question. It says something about putting it into a bag or something. My question is, can i add it to my powerhead quick filter attachment? It has a compartment in the middle thats just begging for something. Is this a good idea? Or bad?

If I was you I would put the carbon in a nylon bag first then into that compartment. Along with that.. Keep in mind that most reef keepers are saying that Carbon in a reef is not needed on a full time basis and that a week out of the month is enough.. More then that it will really start sucking your additives out of your water..

I would put it in a small bag first..... I run carbon in my set ups....
