Stupid snails

Ok here is a good one for you. Why do these snails always go for the power head during the day? Is this some kind of magnetic navigation?

They look like nerite snails, and they do hang around each other. The power head seems to be their hangout.

Kinda cool...
I had one scale the internal overflow, then slither inside the overflow tube and cause the tank to overflow because he clogged up the tube and sump kept pumping water into the tank.....To this day I have no idea how he managed to get where he was..... This was some time ago and my thread was also titled "stupid snail"

Interesting maxalmon....I had 4 decide that they preferred the back side (outside) of the tank beter than the inside of the tank, got tired of picking them off and putting them back in the tank. .......my lfs told me that they like cooler waters, and most reef tanks are too warm for them. I have yet to have one live "in" my tank. I keep my tank at 80-81 degrees. Sticking with the turbo's, asterea, and margarite snails now.

Well I just pick them up on the rocks at the beach so if some get out(and they do) I just get some more. If any one wants some let me know I will ship them to you if YOU pay shipping.
