How do you get a picture next to your user name? how do you resize it to make it fit?

go to User CP.. user control panel then click on edit profile picture. its got to be no bigger then 100 x 100.. or wait.. that didnt work for me... i see no pic by my name

That would be the avatar, can be no bigger than 100 x 100

that is what i do but it still doest work (i got the pic from the internet does that matter) i will try with one of my pics.

i wonder if its working now, if so u have to upload a pic for your avatar in the User CP. if i have a pic by my name now, then thats what to do..

click that.. make it no bigger then 100 x 100 and less then 10k.. u just typed in 100 for height or width and it auto adjust the other to make pic look right. then adjust the quality to lower file size... If you click resize and need to adjust it more, be sure to click on UNDO before trying to make anymore changes in quality.

it keeps saying that The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 10000 bytes. but i have changed it to fit that
