Substitute for baffles

Today I am trying to set-up my sump. Is there any other option in the material used for baffles? Everyone seems to like plexi glass or acrylic, but I don't won't to glue the stuff inside my sump. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.

Not sure if there is a good way to make baffles w/o gluing them in. You could possibly get a rubbermade that would fit into the sump???? What are the baffles going to be for? Trapping bubbles, sand, or just to make different water levels?

Yea I know I have been absent for about a week or so. The withdraw is horrible. I need my fix of SWF.com. I just recently moved and this has been a large amount of time. I am back on the net and done unpacking, so I'm back.

This will be my first attempt at a sump. I have a 90 quart rubbermade container. The baffles will be to trap air bubbles. I don't even know if I will have air bubbles. Maybe I should try it out first. What do you think? What would I use to glue in the plexi glass sheets?
Thanks and I am glad to be back-

Stumpdog -- I used a rubbermaid pitcher to drain both of my overflows into. I drilled holes near the bottom on one side and turned tihe holes away from the pumps in a corner. I didn't have much of a problem with bubbles to begin with, but I don't have any now. HTH

Stump, mine are glued in with silicon, although I'm sure there are better ways.
It will be tough to glue baffles into a rubbermade sump anyway because of the sides bowing out. I would try it w/o baffles and see how it works...
If you needed to you could get a smaller rubbermade to house the return pump. Put some holes toward the bottom so the water enters the bottom... that may work????
Good Luck,
