Can I have crushed coral instead of sand in a reef tank. Or should I change the crushed coral to sand? Thanks for any input!!!!!!!!

From what I've learned from the reef experts on this forum--sand is a must.

I thought you could do both. Lay the coral down with live sand on top.....OR if you use crushed coral only, make sure your live rock goes in first directly on the tank bottom or elevated with pvc pipe so it has flow through, then place the cc around the rock; prob better with live sand in a reef tank though.
