Suction cups on pumps??

Suction cups suck! But not very well......
Any ideas on how to get them to stay in place? Mine are constantly coming un-stuck and the water flow goes in all directions. Thanks for any ideas.

Haha. Just set it on a piece of live rock. My suction cups work just fine esp. them Maxi Jets

I set the suction cups in the water for 10 mins before I stick them to anything - and even then you got to slide them along the glass until you get a stable suction... PIA, but it works really good when its finally where it needs to be... HTH

I have two of the maxi jets and they are the ones that keep coming un-stuck! Not sure if there is some film on the back glass, it had a lot of algae at one point, but they will stick for a few minutes, then plop.... there it goes. It just can't seem to get a long term stick no matter how I try.
