Suction Cups Suck! But Not Enough

oK, I am tired of having to pick up powerheads that loose the suction on the glass. Is there not a better way. Heck, I would be happy with any other way. What does everyone do, except clean the glass and clean the suction cups????

Thank God! I am not the only person that curses everytime that I have to reach into my tank and keep pushing them down!
This will be interesting to hear if someone has cured this annoyance.

I can relate!!! I finally scratched the inside of my suction cups with a fine grain sandpaper and then rinsed them thoroughly. It provided enough friction to make 'em stick!

And that works?!!! Great, now I have to buy sandpaper for the tank. Hubby is gonna look at me weird...again.

I would not use sandpaper. Suction is based on a airtight fit. Even using supper fine sandpaper will result in small crevouses that will allow air/water to enter. Cleaning thoroughly helps the most-but still not worth a da$%.
