i wouldn't have the overflow on the right side go all the way over to the skimmer section..
i don't even think water will end up over on that side.

I am scared drill holes to close to each other thats why I am going to drill them on the right. The one on the right is going down to the refuge. What do you mean " don't even think water will end up over on that side"?

I am pretty sure he means where you have the overflow on the right t off and go to the left. Just have both overflows go straight down to the sump the t is going to be usless

yeah.. your picture has the right overflow going down, and T's off and inputs into the skimmer section.

The overflows will have a 1 1/5" bulkheads and the refuge will have 3/4" bulkhead, so I am going to use a valve to regulate the water and the extra will go down the T to the skimmer???? What you think?

why will there be "extra"?
that T is useless

also.. i hope you put a check valve in that return line.. otherwise you'll syphon your whole tank onto the floor if you have a power failure.

i think it'll be fine.. just do something about that return line.
check valve, or make the returns much higher.

My intake splits and dumps water near the skimmer, and over in the refugium part of the sump. Seems to work just fine.
