Suggestions for an aggressive 55?

Right now I have a 120g community (it's a reef tank with a very passive snowflake eel) and I have a 55g reef tank.
The 55 is located in my office which has been up for about 1.5yrs but requires constant attention. Since I don't work on the weekends it can often go 2 days without attention/feeding but it's a real pain when I'm gone for a few days on a trip or vacation (try explaining dosing/feeding/water tops offs to other employees).
So now I'm going to move the contents of the 55 over to the 120 and turn the 55 into a simpler tank. I'm really looking for something that is easy to maintain, doesn't require constant feeding or complex water chemistry.
Are there any aggressive fish that would do well in a 55 and are not high maintenance?

green wolf eels are very hardy and can go a couple of days without eating. they are also very entertaining. anything but shy. if you're gonna be gone for a few days, just throw 2 or three damsels or chromis in there with him. give him somthing to do and something to eat. they'll keep him busy for a while.

I am starting a 55g tank too and want a green wolf eel too. The problem is my girlfriend wants some "pretty fish", what would be good to put in with the eel? And are hermit crabs, crabs or starfish ok with the eel?

There are really very few fish that can't go weekends without being fed; there are some, but we just tend to spoil them.

Triggers. You can not go wrong with triggers. If you do not feed them, they will climb out of the tank and find their own food.

I have a green wolf eel, and agree, they are WAY COOL! Fenrir is entertaining, cool looking, and even pretty "friendly." I do have to watch for flying teeth at feeding time - the little bugger is FAST when he strikes!
I have him in a tank with a red vol lion (Sushi), clown trigger (Gacy), and a panther grouper (Eldridge). They all coexist quite nicely - no aggression toward each other, and it's a nice mix of colors, body shapes, and personality types. The only problem with having triggers in the mix is they LOVE inverts, so you're pretty much setting yourself up to have to clean the tank yourself (see my thread on trigger safe clean up crews). Without the trigger, you could set up a lovely, self cleaning ecosystem, because the others won't mess with hermits/snails too much.

I know what you mean about the wife wanting "pretty" fish. I had to set up a separate tank for clowns to make her happy. But, hey, if momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy!

We have a 55 that we use as what we call a predetor tank. Up until a few days ago it housed a fuzzy dwarf lion, a green wolf eel and a coral beauty angel. . .yes that stupid angel is so mean, it gets to live with the aggressive fish. We had to get rid of the eel, he was about 1 1/2 feet long. . .twice as big as when we got him, and was starting to get flighty and had jumped out once when one of the kids got to close to the tank. Now we have two dwarf lions with the CB. It works out great since they don't have to be fed but 3 times a week.
The eel was entertaining for a little while, but just to flightly for us.
