Suicide duster

Well I got home tonite and my green feather duster is out of his tube and crawling around on the bottom. Anyone know anything about this?

hm. never heard of that, ive heard of them throwing there crown. he might be looking for a better place. is he just like squirming around not in its toob thing?

On some occasions they recover, it is not a good sign though.
Can you photograph it? That would be really neat to see.

Yea I have never experienced it either. He is just sitting in the bottom with his feathers open but no tube....

do u add phytoplankton? feather dusters filter feed that out and get there food like that.

Our's did that. It died a few days afterwords. It may live and make another shell out of the sandbed. If you don't have sand, put it in a little 'Critter Container' with some sand in it. No need to put the lid on, I say, just weigh it down.
Also, for all those people who want to know what it looks like, the worm is brown with little spines on its sides.

I've had that happen. The feather dropped out of its tube and move a few inches and then began making a new tube. It is still alive and doing well.
