sump buddy skimmer

I have been looking at them, I am building a 30 gal sump right now for my 90 and considering this skimmer or a tunze 9010, they say the tunze is good but I just cant see it keeping up with this skimmer when you run a 900 gph pump on it compared to the small pump on the tunze. I am making the skimmer section real small so I can make a large fuge in the middle, I am using black acrylic for the traps, man is that stuff more expensive than I thought. I saw on the sump buddy all you really have to do is change the balls out once a year and they suggest tying fishing line to them for easy removal. I am stuck on wether I want to get it or not because the way I am building the sump I would have trouble getting it out but apparently you dont need to take it out because the pump is not attached to it and the balls you can remove as stated above, heck they have sumps they build with them permenantly built in so I will probably go with it

I would preorder a new extreme octopus if it were me. They are copies of the ati bubblemasters and for the price they are gonna be incredible.
Anyone who is looking for a skimmer would be ahead to wait to get one til these come out. But, if you want one, preorder cause they are gonna sell like hotcakes.
all of the info is not out yet as far as tank size ratings, but looking at the construction and the fact that the ones from marine solutions use the Sicce pumps, they will by far be the best buy on a skimmer without a doubt.

well I orderd this monday and said it would ship next morning. I called today on a waste container and my skimmer hasnt shipped yet. grrrr. They said it will shipp tomorrow. Thursday. Said I should have it like next wensday. Thats over a week with no skimmer. Oh well. Needless to say I didnt order the collection cup. I told him I would wait and see how this order turns out first. They are very helpful and polite. Just not as speedy as I would like. So now off to mix some water to do a water change tomorrow.
