sump designs

im building a 360gal tank and need some sump/fuge ideas. the tank will be drilled on the bottom and return lines would be over the top or drilled in i need the ideas be 4 i get to this point so ne ideas and pics would help ne pic of sump/fuge on big tanks would help too

u would be better off drawing a sketch of what u are thinking and post it then get some feed back from that point

Well I posted mine a few posts down but here it is again, of course I haven't built it yet but will be starting on it this week.

looks nice only thing i would consider is a seperate pump for the fuge just would be eaiser from a maintenece stand point of view
only other thing i would consider if it were my tank is putting a closed loop system in the back wall there while u still can

I like DvS's thinking there, its a bit cleaner and only one pump which is nice. The ball valve should let you adjust how much of the over-flow you want to run through the fuge and how much to the sump.
Also, Birdy, on your drawing, I am not sure you need the ball valves on the over-flow pumps. I would only put the valve on the pump return to make sure your not over-pumping the tank, and then just let the return rate be dictated by the pump rate.
