Would 30Lx12Wx16H be a good size sump/fuge for my 75? Also how much room should i leave for a skimmer(currently a seaclone 100, but will mostlikly upgrade), bubble trap baffles, sump/return area, and fuge?

anything is better then nothing, bigger is always better. but even with a small sump your still getting surface skimming and better gas exchange.

you only need enough room to place the skimmer into the the first area of the sump. you want your skimmer to take in water that has just been skimmed from the tank rather then haveing the skimmer take water nearer the return pump.

It will actually be 30x13x16. I would go bigger but then i wouldnt be able to reach things under the tank. The two doors open up in the middle of the stand. Would it be better or even possible to make the doors larger and have a support bar in the middle of the front of my stand to be able to create a larger sump/fuge?

it would really depend on the design of the stand. the stand on my 75 has a middle piece between the two doors but it's just a place for the doors to meet on. my 180g stand has a fully open back, i built it that way to get the sump in the stand. the sump is 72x24x18

Would a sump/fuge of this size(30x13x16) help the tank, or would it be to small and possibly be a bad with overflowing and such. With the way the doors are there isnt much room to get in to reach things. Ill do some more checking and try to figure out if i can make it any bigger. Thanks for all your help
